Let the good times roll… Fat Tuesday is just around the corner and Buffalo is going to be celebrating New Orleans style as Artvoice presents its 18th annual Mardi Gras Parade and Festival.
On Fat Tuesday (February 12th), Historic Allentown and surrounding areas will become Buffalo’s own French Quarter. Start partying at 5pm when the parade takes an all new route down Allen St, and keep partying until we get kicked out!
All funds raised by $5 bracelet sales benefit Give for Greatness, a not-for-profit organization that raises funding and awareness for Western New York’s beloved arts and cultural institutions.
It’s Buffalo’s biggest party night of the year… so come out and party for a great cultural cause!

Walmart, which has been rumored to be looking for a North Buffalo location for years, apparently is close to buying properties at the northwest corner of Hertel and Elmwood avenues for a new store. A commercial real estate insider says the retail giant is said to be buying a string of properties “from the donut shop to the Home Depot plaza.”
Walmart on Hertel and Elmwood, good idea or bad idea?
It is with sadness we have to announce that for reasons out of our control, we will be closing after January 12th. None of us will forget the friendships made and the great music all of us have witnessed over the many, many years. With the sadness comes a little bit of joy that we still have time left to go to shows, and time to share how important this place is to so many people. A big thanks to Marty, Bill, Mike, Donny, Chris, Bryce and countless others of the past and current staff for making the place more than just four walls with a stage. We thank each and every one of you who played a show, bought a ticket, and drank our beers.

Anonymous asked: Do you if they are any Day of the Dead celebrations/festivals this year?
Personally no I do not and couldn’t find anything online. I would guess that there are probably some though.
Any one know if there are any festivals going on for day of the dead this year?
