As per usual for every year, Artvoice is throwing the best in the country Mardi Gras party/parade. This year is going to be bigger and better than ever with 46+ clubs/bars in the Allentown/Elmwood area, and of course downtown on Chippewa. You live in Hamburg or Williamsville and can’t make it downtown? NO PROBLEM, this year there are 12 clubs/bars from Hamburg and Williamsville participating in the festivities.

Parties are great and whatnot but it just wouldn’t be a Mardi Gras without the parade! Line-up for the parade begins at 4PM behind the Albright Knox, and the parade begins at 5PM at Iroquois Drive and Elmwood, heading south on Elmwood towards Kleinhans.

The Artvoice Mardi Gras Party has stood on the same platform for 17 years now: At any participating venue, pay $5 at the door for a yellow bracelet, which grants access to all other venues and entitles you to a festoon of colorful beads wherever you go. There are live music and dance performances, DJs, food and drink specials, traveling drag queens, and a fantastic parade that kicks off at 5pm and winds through the city. Every dime of your $5 goes to a good cause.
