Ways to ring in 2012 in Buffalo, NY. 
- the 24th Annual “Buffalo Ball Drop & Fireworks” event at Iskalo Development’s Electric Tower, located at 535 Washington Street, in Downtown Buffalo on Saturday, December 31st!  Roosevelt Plaza will come alive on New Year’s Eve, when tens of thousands of people gather for the second largest New Year’s celebration in the United States! Local singing sensation Caitlin Koch and the Jamie Moses Band will headline the show, kicking off at 10:30 p.m., concluding with the Buffalo Ball Drop and Fireworks at 12:00 midnight.
- The Ottawa Senators are playing the Buffalo Sabres at FN Center. Tickets still available. 
-  The Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls is hosting its 3rd annual Guitar Drop. A 10-foot Gibson guitar will be lowered 120 feet, counting down the new year. The celebration begins on Old Falls Boulevard with a live concert at 8 p.m. This event is free (unless purchasing VIP tickets) and open to all ages.

- For a family-friendly way to ring in the new year, you can attend “First Night Buffalo” at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. The drug- and alcohol-free event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Families will be able to enjoy rides, laser tag, exotic reptiles, music and a grand finale balloon drop with indoor fireworks. The Convention Center is located at 153 Franklin Street.
